AUNCE (pronounced Aunts/Arnts) creates genre- straddling music laden with relentless beats and richly textured vocals. Confrontational rhythms and visceral synths are set against intimate vocal lines that are woven into ethereal soundscapes. The artist flirts with the edges of pop, and delves deeper into electronica and sonic art. Inspired by nature, urban environments, social issues and human behaviour. What drives AUNCE to make music is an insatiable love of sound and its ability to connect us, express the inexpressible and to explore the shape, texture and feeling of known and unknown worlds.

Beep Beep is the first single of a seven track EP as AUNCE, with plenty more to follow.

“What truly sets Beep Beep apart is its ability to create an immersive atmosphere. The track feels like a sonic cityscape, alive with the chaos and beauty of human behavior. There’s an unmistakable urban edge to the production, but it’s filtered through an experimental lens, making it feel simultaneously grounded and otherworldly. This duality—urban and ethereal, visceral and introspective—is a hallmark of AUNCE’s artistry and is executed masterfully here.”

- Parkett

“This track isn’t just about pushing musical boundaries—it’s a statement of individuality, creativity, and the power of sound to communicate on a deeper level. With “Beep Beep”, AUNCE invites listeners into their world, a place where the lines between genres blur, and where music is both a journey and an experience. This is just the beginning, and it’s clear that AUNCE is an artist to watch in the world of genre-defying music.

Beep Beep: This piece examines the complex realities of self-sexualization and self-objectification on social media and other online platforms, tracing the evolution of “sex sells” marketing strategies within the creator economy. Are these practices contributing to a collective constriction of our bodies and minds, even as they claim to promote “body positivity” and “empowerment”. By playing into this method of competing for attention, are we reducing the potential power of our art and impacting our relationship with our bodies?
